7 Day Kilimanjaro Climbing Rongai Route
Tour Overview - 7 Day Kilimanjaro Climbing Rongai Route
The Rongai route is one of the easiest ways to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, and it has a very high success rate.
The path starts on the north side of the mountain, just south of the border with Kenya. It is one of the paths that people take the least. The climbers go down the Marangu Route on the south side of the mountain, which gives them a lot of different views of the mountain.
From Moshi, it takes about 2.5 hours to get to the trailhead. Along the way, you pass through many villages and coffee plantations and stop at Marangu gate to get climbing permits.
The Rongai Route to climb Kilimanjaro can also be reached from Kenya’s Amboseli National Park. Allow 2 hours, which includes the time to cross the border. We’ll need copies of your passports before the event.
Day by day itinerary
You will meet our Mangokili Adventures driver at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), and he will take you to your hotel in Moshi town. There, you’ll meet your guide. On this day, you can rent the gear you forgot.Spend the night at the Lindrin lodge or the Park View hotel. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all included.

From here, we start to go down. We stop at Kibo for lunch and a break before going on to the Horombo camp. At the start of this climb, it is dark, so you will need headlamps or flashlights. Before you start going down, it will be very cold, so you will need all of your warm clothes.
